Local Authorities purchasing the service for you will arrange for a full assessment to ascertain eligibility for service provision and identify your levels of need. A member of the financial assessment team will also look at your income and capital and work out how much they may need to contribute towards the cost of your care. They will also make sure that you or your carer are claiming and receiving all benefits you are entitled to.

The financial assessment will identify how much you can afford to pay. If you are required to contribute to your care, you will pay direct to the Borough of Poole or your purchasing authority.
