Your Borough Of Poole

Dispose Of Your Commercial Waste

Business owners can now take their commercial waste to the Waste Transfer Station, next to the Tip, in Nuffield Road.
If you wish to dispose of commercial waste, you should make your way onto the weighbridge via the trade entrance. Charges for disposal start at weights from 100kg and then go up in 100kg increments.
Payment must be made by credit or debit card at the time of disposal. The service is available Monday to Friday between 2.30-5.30pm except bank holidays.
Cllr Xena Dion, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Borough of Poole, said: "It is great that we are able to offer local businesses somewhere they can easily and safely dispose of they waste. It is important people remember to bring their Waste Carrier's Licence and Waste Transfer Note with them when they dispose of their waste but we hope that many local businesses will take advantage of this new service."
A waste carrier's licence is a permit that is required for the transportation of wastes by businesses. It is issued by the Environment Agency and is valid for three years. There are some exceptions, a list of these will be available in the weighbridge office or via the Environment Agency website.
If you want to dispose of your waste whilst at the site and you don’t have a Waste Carrier’s Licence, using internet access in our weighbridge, you can apply for one from the Environment Agency website. You will then be allowed to tip your waste.
A waste transfer note is required whenever trade waste is transferred from a business to a registered waste carrier or waste disposal operator.
You can visit the site as many times as you wish but it is important to remember that the vehicle weight limit is 3.5 tonne unladen.
