Sea View Works Near Completion

Improvement works at the Sea View junction, Poole, are nearing completion.

The works, which are part of the Three Towns Travel project, will create improvements for pedestrians, cyclists, car users and buses.

One of the final major elements in the construction process will be to surface the road. Work will take place from Monday 22 April to remove some of the old road. The new road surface is due to be laid  from Monday 29 April and depending on weather conditions, this work should take four days.

Cllr Xena Dion, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Transportation, Borough of Poole, said: “The improvement works being carried out at the Sea View junction have so far caused minimal disruption to road users and we are pleased that they are currently due to be completed on time. The final stage of works does unfortunately involve some resurfacing works which we expect will cause disruption and delays to traffic in the area. We would like to thank drivers for their patience while these works are carried out and where possible would advise they seek an alternative route.”
