Your Borough Of Poole

Win Your Wedding At The Guildhall

If you're looking for the perfect wedding venue, why not visit Poole's Guildhall during its Open Day on 18 January 2014.

The event runs from 10am-4pm and one lucky couple could even win their wedding at the Guildhall.

Built in 1761, the historic Guildhall in the heart of Poole’s old town provides a charming venue for weddings and other civic ceremonies. Its main features comprise a large ceremony room with beautiful chandeliers and enough space to accommodate up to 120 guests.  Outside, the eye-catching cast iron and stone staircase provide a grand backdrop for photographs.

Cllr Judy Butt, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Public Engagement and Participation, Borough of Poole, said: “Choosing a wedding venue is a key decision for any couple planning their perfect day. Poole’s Guildhall really is a beautiful venue and I would encourage anyone planning their special day to visit during the Open Day to see what is on offer.”

Throughout the day staff will be offering guided tours of the building, and there's no need to book. Simply turn up and take a look around, and be sure to fill in your competition entry for your chance to win your wedding ceremony at the Guildhall.
