Upton Country Park Easter Trail - Travel advice

Visitors to Upton Country Park’s popular Easter Trail on Wednesday 3 April 2013 are advised that only limited car parking will be available due to recent bad weather.

The recent heavy rainfall means the park is unable to offer the usual overflow car parking on adjacent farmer’s fields for its Easter Trail Day.

Organisers have extended the event by two hours and it will now run from 10am to 4pm so visitors can choose to come along earlier or later to avoid any traffic delays.

Visitors are also encouraged to car share or consider the following other options for getting to the park:

By bus – Wilts & Dorset 128 from Poole town centre to the bus stop at the Upton Country Park car park.
By Bike or on Foot – cycleway routes from Broadstone, Hamworthy and Poole Town Centre all lead straight into the park.

Cllr Judy Butt, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Communities, Public Engagement and Participation, Borough of Poole, said: “The Easter Trail is hugely popular and last year more than 700 children took part in the fun.

“Unfortunately, the bad weather we’ve recently experienced means we can only provide limited parking space at the park, so if you’re planning to come along to this great event please consider leaving the car at home if at all possible.”

Entry to the Easter Trail is £2 per child and every child completing the trail is rewarded with an Easter Egg.
