Don't miss the first ever Bournemouth and Poole marathon festival this weekend and if you're getting married, the Upton Country House wedding fayre on 6 October is not to be missed.

In addition, we find out about how people in your community are getting involved in local open spaces, and how you can help shape Poole as a place to live, work and visit in 2031. Also included is a feature on the Twin Sails Bridge as well as the regular news pages, a contacts directory for residents and a ‘Day in the Life’.

Please note an incorrect expiry date of 31 July was printed on vouchers offering half price games of Crazy Golf at Sandbanks, Poole Park and Boscombe Chine Gardens. The proprietor is aware of the mistake and has confirmed the vouchers, printed on page 18, will be honoured by each venue.

Poole News is also available at all local libraries and other public buildings. Alternatively, you can view the online version here.

An audio version for visually impaired residents, produced in partnership with the Dorset Blind Association, is also available upon request.

If you're a Poole resident and have not received Poole News through your door by Monday 14 October 2013 please contact 01202 633277 or email pr@poole.gov.uk.
