Poole's Drug and Alcohol Service Performing Well

Poole's Drug and Alcohol service fully meets all quality standards, a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection found.
Poole Addictions Community Team (PACT) is a joint service with Dorset HealthCare and includes social workers, nurses, a doctor and a psychologist. The service provides a range of treatment and support to help people recover from drug and alcohol dependency.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) judged that the service fully meets all of the quality standards that were inspected. CQC said that Borough of Poole respected and involved the people who use the service, provide good standards of care and worked well to protect people from harm.
Cllr Karen Rampton, Portfolio Holder for Health and Social Care, Borough of Poole, said: "I am delighted that the excellent performance of adult social care has been recognised in this very positive Care Quality Commission judgement. This latest inspection report for Poole Addictions Community Team supports the importance we place on providing the highest quality care to people in Poole."
Jane Elson, Director, Mental Health Services, Dorset HealthCare, said: "We are proud of our effective partnership working with the Borough of Poole and that this is proving to be successful in delivering quality care to the local population."
