Severe Weather Update 5 February

**Updated 2.30pm**

With ongoing severe weather, parts of Poole have been affected.

Both lifting bridges have been out of action at different points during the last two days. They are currently both open to traffic and engineers have resolved the issues. Poole Bridge was struck by lightning on Tuesday 4 February and Twin Sails Bridge was affected by high winds on Wednesday 5 February.

Our Streetscene Team has been dealing with fallen trees across Poole. If you know of any fallen trees you can report them online or contact 01202 261700.

Due to high tides Shore Road had to be closed from Evening Hill to Haven Road. The road has now reopened but please take care as some standing water may remain.

We would advise residents to stay away from the beaches as high tides and gale force winds are making the tide extremely strong.

We will provide updates when we have them available.
