Supported Living Service Performing Well

Borough of Poole's Supported Living Service for people with a learning disability fully meets all national quality standards, a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection found.

The Supported Living Service in Poole helps people to live as independently as possible in their own flats by providing care 24 hours a day.

The CQC has recently inspected Borough of Poole's service and judged that it fully meets all of the quality standards that were inspected. CQC said that Borough of Poole provided  planned care, using well trained staff who support people's welfare and keep them safe

Cllr Karen Rampton, Portfolio Holder for Adult Social Care, Borough of Poole, said: "Helping people with a learning disability to live safely and independently is an important priority for adult social care, and so I am delighted that the Care Quality Commission has found the quality of care we provide to be of a high standard. I am particularly pleased that this judgement was reached after the inspector took into account the views of people who use the Supported Living Service and their families."
