Make Homework Heavenly at Hamworthy and Rossmore Library

Poole Libraries are pleased to announce that a free homework club for children has started three nights a week.

The club runs after school every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during term time, between 3-4.30pm, at Hamworthy Library and Rossmore Library.

The clubs are open to all children but specifically those aged 8-14 years old. They offer a safe and friendly environment to work in with help on hand from library staff to access books and find information. There is free use of computers with internet access, as well as free photocopies and print-outs, and online resources linked directly from our website.

Cllr Judy Butt, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Public Engagement and Participation, Borough of Poole, said: "This is a great way for children to make new friends and get their homework finished in a friendly environment. I'm sure we can all remember having homework in one subject that we put off until the last minute but I hope that through the new homework club our young people will feel motivated to complete their chemistry and finish their french."

So if you are struggling with spellings, hating history or just muddling along in maths then pop in and see us. Sessions are free and there’s no need to book. Stay as long as you like.
