What’s On in our libraries this September

The new Autumn edition of What’s On in Poole Libraries is out now, with details of what’s happening in all ten of our libraries between September – December.

There are lots of great events this season for adults, children and families, so take a look and you’re sure to find something to interest you.

September 13 is Roald Dahl’s birthday, and we’re celebrating on Saturday 12 September so please join us for a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Party at Poole Central Library, 3-4pm. There are story and craft events in all your libraries throughout the week, so you can discover your favourite Roald Dahl book.

During the week beginning September 14 we’re welcoming not one, but three authors, all with different and interesting stories. Come and meet Diana Morgan-Hill, Jenny Oliver or Michael Busst – or perhaps all three! There is a £2 suggested donation for these events.

If you love rugby, you’ll be looking forward to the Rugby World Cup this autumn. Pick up a copy of Read XV, the South West Reading Passport, from your local library and find some great books to read about your favourite sport. If rugby’s not your ball, we’ve got lots of other choices to keep you reading fit.

Pick up a copy of What’s On in Poole Libraries from your local library, or you can print off a black and white version from the website, so as not to drain your ink cartridge. You can book for any of the events by phoning 01202 262449, emailing libraries@poole.gov.uk or asking in your library. Let us know what inspires you.
