Local businesswoman continues her winning streak in the Poole Park Mosaic prize draw

Ahead of the start of a busy Saturday Poole Parkrun, the Poole Park Heritage Group presented a Sony H300 digital camera donated by Tesco Branksome Community to last month’s winner of the Poole Park mosaic project prize draw.

The winner was randomly picked out of a hat on 1st September by staff at the offices of Dickinson Manser Solicitors, the project’s first gold sponsor and announced as Annette D’Abreo.

The keen runner and Managing Director of Bournemouth-based Pharmaceutical’s firm, Ceuta Healthcare, said:  “I am delighted to be the August winner. The Poole Park Mosaic project is a fantastic way in which to raise money to maintain and develop such a focal point for the area. I hope that all local residents will send in their pictures and enable the park to take the ten-fold investment that the Heritage Lottery Fund will mirror.

“I am amongst the 650 runners who participate in Parkrun every Saturday morning. We are lucky to run in such beautiful surroundings so as a community let’s keep it that way for the generations to come.”

Earlier this month Annette won the Women of the Year for Large Businesses in the 2015 Women in Business Awards and she is up for the Enhanced Director of the Year award at the Dorset Venus awards which take place later this week, so she will be hoping that her lucky streak will continue.

The Poole Park Heritage Group mosaic fundraiser brings those that know, use and love Poole Park together in one giant photomosaic that will be displayed in the park. Photos can be uploaded for a small £5 donation to the project, which can unlock up to £50 of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Martin Whitchurch, Project Manager, Borough of Poole, said: “We are delighted that more people have uploaded photos to the Poole Park Photo Mosaic project and Annette is the second lucky winner of a fantastic Sony camera, kindly supplied by Tesco Community and Branksome.

“September is the last chance to win a camera, when you upload your photo you will not only be part of the mosaic wall built in the park but your donation will also contribute to further improvements of Poole Park as part of the Heritage Lottery Fund Work”.

To be in with a chance of winning a camera worth £150, all you need to do is upload your photograph to www.poolepark.org for a £5 donation.
