Register for Poole's 2017 garden waste service now

Green fingered residents in Poole can now sign up to next year's garden waste service.

Garden waste bins are collected fortnightly, running from February to December, and are available to every household in the borough.

Residents wishing to receive all 22 collections for the standard price of £38.30 per 240 litre bin must register by 16 December 2016. Access to Leisure and Learning cardholders are entitled to a 50 per cent discount on the first bin ordered, making the service just £19.15.

Cllr John Rampton, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Environment and Consumer Protection Services, Borough of Poole, said: "The garden waste scheme offers great value for money and remains very popular among residents with an increase in subscriptions annually. We are pleased to offer the continued extended service following customer requests to cover periods of very late leaf fall”.

Poole residents have already helped to collect over 5,100 tonnes of garden waste from the kerbside in 2016, and it is hoped that even more will be collected in 2017.
