Poole Museum Project Consultation

Poole Museum's 'Our Museum Project' is a fantastic project which will make sure that Poole's wonderful maritime heritage, extraordinary collection of buildings and colourful history is preserved for generations to come.

The first phase of the project will focus on the ground floor of the museum and the Town Cellars, which currently houses Poole History Centre.

Poole Museum aims to conserve and restore the Town Cellars to its original form 'The Kings Hall', which was a grand wool warehouse, as well as creating a large, accessible venue for displaying important Poole maritime artefacts and an area that the community can use and enjoy.

Tell us what you think

We would like to know your thoughts on the proposals to restore and open up our buildings. Poole Museum is submitting a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund and your feedback will play and important role in this process.

Please read the information leaflet and complete the online survey. Alternatively, you can download a paper copy and return it to us using the Freepost address at the end of the paper survey.

The consultation on the first phase of the 'Our Museum' project will close on Friday 29 June.

If you have any questions about the consultation or would like the documents in a different format, please contact Rachel Martin at rachel.martin@poole.gov.uk.
